Invitation to interview prompted you to call the recruiter at your selected time. Recruiter was not prepared, seemed unfamiliar with the company and specific job, and couldn’t relay information about the role or requirements. There weren’t many questions asked but from the requisition details I spoke to the requirements and duties and related my experience as a fit for the role. Recruiter seemed very impressed and wowed; noting she would highlight my application to the hiring manager ASAP. Two days later I got a canned rejection email from the ATS. After I emailed for follow up, the recruiter noted they are looking for someone in a different state- my place of residence is noted very clearly on my app and resume. Overall seemed unprofessional, disorganized, disingenuous, and a waste of everyone’s time.
