      Entrevista para Human Resources

      Entrevista

Initial contact with recruiter was positive. That guy is great and responsive to call backs. The first in person interview was good. I was met by a guy that I would be working with. However, he told me that he was given unrealistic time frames to do the job he was hired for and some other negatives, this was my first red flag. Second interview, I was met by an repugnant little fellow who was apparently not well versed in interviewing. His amateurish and child like demeanor I found to be a bad representation on Paycom. So after a very plastic introduction and awkward laughter, the "interview" commenced. Very robotic questions. He kept asking "why do I wanna work here". It was more like a wannabe interrogation rather than a job interview. I did not fell welcomed whatsoever. I finally told him because your are hiring and the position was a good fit for me on paper. He then proceeded to tell me that they want people to grovel and act destitute when answering that question more or less. I was straight forward and honest with him. I was then told that due to my four college degrees and years of experience, that I am "overqualified". I then told him that if I felt I was overqualified, then I would have spent my time applying for that particular job. What does overqualified mean anyway? Does this mean that I pose a threat to your job by being better? That would mean hiring managers are making personal assumptions and creating personal bias toward applicants who are professionals with extensive experience. During this interview, I was told nothing of the position and what was expected. I found that odd. He made it very clear that they only want to hire mindless drones who do not pose a threat to their jobs and do not value seasoned professionals. I got called back for a THIRD (and inconvenient) interview with a head of the dept I was applying for and she was very nice. However, I noticed that all interviewers had a vibe about them that suggested they were in fear of losing their jobs. She seemed elsewhere in thought and was dropping subtle hints that this company was poorly run. My second red flag was when I was informed that the first guy I interviewed for had recently quit. What does that tell you about this company. So, A complete waste of time and gas driving to this place only to be interviewed by mouth breathers and amateurs. You would think they would just screen applicants more thoroughly before wasting their time. I assume the recruiters are just throwing whoever at the wall so they can make numbers and not get fired. This is totally inefficient. This might be an ok stepping stone place to work for college kids or malleable millennials. I would think twice about applying here. Final thoughts... Interviewing with these people was very boorish, arduous and regrettable. The owners of this company should fire their entire HR department and start anew with the right people. A task I would gladly consider applying for with Paycom if offered (laughing) On to another and hopefully more professional organization. Next!

It was the best candidate experience I have ever had. It was evident that the recruiter had a thorough understanding of the job expectations. The flow of the process and the updates gave me an indication that this company is focused on culture and experience for its employees. Throughout the process, I found it enjoyable. It was my best experience with a company in the recruitment process, even though I was not selected. Markeisha was the recruiter I worked with. I truly enjoyed the process and feedback. In addition to her enthusiasm, expertise, and connection, Markeisha represented Paycom in a most professional manner.

I had five interviews over a month and a half. I never heard back from them and the recruiter didn’t respond to my email. After five interviews I was ghosted.

Several phases of the interview process. Two initial phone interviews, then 2 on-site interviews and to no avail. In my opinion, they are looking for younger people under 40. Tenured employees can be your biggest asset due to experience and loyalty.
