I met PayPal at a career fair and they called me within two weeks or initial meeting. An HR rep contacted me with one job description, I responded that I would be glad to discuss that one, as well as two others on the company website that also sounded interesting. HR then contacted me about one of the two jobs I named and dropped all interest in the first position. I had a phone screening and came in to take a technical test and interview (with hiring manager and team member). This was followed by a phone interview with the manager of the hiring manager, who had been unable to meet me the day I was in the office. That day I received an offer for half what my last job paid, was told it was non-negotiable and that I had one day to decide. Everyone was fabulous, I just wasn't willing to work for that money.
