Basically I was grilled for about 30 minutes by the recruiter, no rapport whatsoever, very little clarity on what the job entails, the structure of the company or the volume of work. Interview was not necessarily difficult but dull, with a holier than thou attitude. I shared my salary expectation with the recruiter and received a "this is at the high end of the range". It baffles me how companies just expect recruiters to juggle 30 job reqs with no sourcing strategy (they rely mostly on referral programs - so much for diversity and inclusion) and their workforce planning is all over the place across EMEA. But they want to offer an annual salary that is less 55k in a country where the recession is hitting like a wrecking ball and a city where housing prices are off the charts. Overall, I did not like the interview, no rapport, and had the feeling the interviewer wanted me to explain since this is Patagonia -a company that by the way is very fatphobic in its inception.
