I had a phone interview with the founder, an in-person interview with three employees, and a reference check. I was called in for another interview afterward and declined due to concerns about the integrity of the founder (he did not call for the first phone interview we scheduled, I felt he was being dishonest about a few things, and he was somewhat rude) and the level of compensation. Interviews were all extremely easy. Positives: The job seems relatively easy to get, and it did not sound like the hours were very demanding. The product that the company offers, an electronic trading platform for commodities derivatives, is interesting. Negatives: The pay is below market (although I was told multiple times about "significant upside"), the founder, who was my main contact throughout recruiting, had very poor communication skills, and it doesn't seem as though the company attracts very high level talent. Overall, I'd recommend avoiding Parity Energy.
