I had an informal face-to-face with the hiring manager to discuss the job requirements and to see whether it would be a good fit. Over a month later they brought me into the office where I met with the same hiring manager, the person vacating the job, and HR for about an hour each. About a month after that I was brought in again to meet with the hiring manager and his boss. It was a slow process, but once the job offer was made they wanted me to start as soon as possible and things moved very quick.
