Walked in and asked if they were hiring, then they sat me down in the lobby and asked me about my availability, how I dealt with difficult customers in the past, and what makes me a good fit for the team. Was then offered a job on spot.

They do a lot of hiring events. I went to one and even now as I work here they held one in that location too. The regional manager is there, other store managers and training managers are there as well.
