      Entrevista para University Professionals Programmer

      Candidato de entrevista anónimo
      Londres, Inglaterra
      Sin ofertas

      Entrevista

After an initial CV screen and completing the online tests, I had an HR telephone interview, followed by two interviews at the London head office which were both an hour long. The latter interview also involved giving a 5 minute presentation. I found the interviews to be a positive experience as the interviewers really made an effort to put you at ease. They were very friendly and seemed to be genuinely interested in you as a person. My issue with the process was its length. I initially applied in April and it was not until July that I heard anything back from them, when I was told I was required to complete online tests. The email informing me about these tests was so poorly written that it was hard to decipher what was actually required of me. There were spelling mistakes and grammatical errors throughout the email which I thought was highly unprofessional. My final interview was at the start of September and then I got a decision about 3 weeks after that. I did recieve feedback which was encouraging. Overall, I will apply again in the next recruitment cycle but I do think Palladium need to rethink how drawn out the process is, especially for those studying at the same time. From when I initially applied in April, to the final decision in September it took about 5 months.

Thank you for the feedback. I am sorry to hear that the process was so drawn out. Our University Professionals initiative was relatively new at that point and we were still finding our feet. Your feedback will help us improve and is valuable in our current recruitment review.

      Entrevista

I was really excited when I came across this role and decided to ignore all the reviews on Glassdoor. I sent the initial application and then passed 4 tests, before moving onto the interview stages. The first was a telephone interview with a representative from HR, followed by a face to face interview. I was then invited to a further round where I was asked to prepare a 5 minute presentation. At the end of the interview I was then given a date for the decision. Following this I received an email letting me know that a phone call had been arranged with a partner for the date that I was expecting to be given the outcome. I was told not to prepare as this was an informal chat, so I didn't as I thought he would be giving me the news. I then spoke to the partner to discover that this was actually another stage, which was being introduced and he then proceeded to ask me a series of difficult questions. After 4 interviews I was told that I wasn't successful and I was invited to request detailed feedback. I sent an email initially to arrange a call which was ignored. I then tried to call the HR representative I had been dealing with, and he ignored my call. I then followed up with a further email; 6 weeks later and I haven't even received an acknowledgment email, let alone any feedback. Other students who had also applied from my Master's course shared similar experiences. Having undergone interviews with other global companies I can honestly say that this interview process was disproportionately long for a graduate role. If you are studying alongside your application, I suggest you think carefully about the time and energy you invest in Palladium, and I suggest Palladium should reevaluate both the efficiency its recruitment process and its treatment of potential recruits.
