I interviewed with the CEO as the first hiring screen. 5 mins into the conversation he said that he was looking for someone with more experience. It was clear that he never looked at my resume or my background before scheduling a chat. He also said that he wants to hire someone to make beautiful things which is NOT what a product designer does. I also noticed that there is a Design Manager that currently works there so it was weird that the CEO was doing the initial screening and that the role was going to report to him.
