The position pays about 42-47k (Houston). About two weeks after applying I got an invitation for a phone screen from a recruiter. After our call, she said that she would forward my resume to the managers. An hour after, I get another call letting me know that the managers were interested in an interview. She asked if I was available the next day and I agreed. The first round of interviews was about 30 minutes through Teams and I spoke with three women. They were respectful but a bit cold. They asked a few questions. I then followed up with the recruiter to see when I would know if they would move forward or not. The recruiter did answered pretty fast and I appreciated her getting back to me quickly. She said they were interested in a final interview through Teams. We scheduled it for the week after. In this interview, one of the ladies from the first interview was there (same city as I am) and two additional managers. This interview seemed to be casual as was the first one but perhaps a bit more unstructured. I was asked questions and answered them, still about 30 minutes. One of the managers ( I think Kentucky) refused to ask me anything. After one week had passed, I followed up with the recruiter and asked if they decided to go with a different candidate or if I was still under consideration. She said I was still under consideration and apologized for the delay. Two weeks have passed after that communication, and I never received an update. I wished they would have just told me they decided to go with a different candidate but I suppose they were waiting to send mass rejections. I still haven't received it but I know it's coming. I don't know what advice I will give to interviewees, but one thing I think I could have done better at times was provide examples even if I wasn't asked about them. This is because they are not too talkative. Ultimately, I think they were going to choose the person with the strongest finance background. I mistakenly believed that because the interviews were moving fast, that it had meant that they were really interested in hiring me but I was completely wrong.
