1st interview, an hour long, promising, both of us energetic. Ended with interviewer saying, I really want you for this role. Said I was shared with higher management and they wanted to get me in the office immediately. 2nd interview - asked me to share examples of work (a bit of red flag) and also insisted I accept their salary requirements. Said I was the only one they wanted. Because I am an ethical person, I continued to do the 2nd call because I was made to feel I was going to be the candidate. Another hour call, even longer. Ended with more of "you're the one we want, get ready for next steps." SILENCE for over a week. Ghosting. Finally, I email them - (not right) on what is going on. They send a general email back like I was a stranger and had never spoken with me - and how thanks for my time, yadda yadda. What a waste of 3 weeks. And not even a consideration to call or email me immediately.
