A Prolonged Interview Process with PCCW I applied for the Lead Data Engineer position at PCCW through a third-party staffing and recruitment firm in mid-August. Unfortunately, the screening process was extremely slow-paced, leaving me feeling uncertain about the company's hiring timeline. The interview process consisted of three technical screening rounds: Round 1 (Hackerank Test): A 30-minute coding challenge and cloud services MCQ test. Round 2 (Head of Data Interview): A 1-hour virtual meeting on September 12, where we discussed my technical skills and alignment with the organization. Round 3 (VP Systems Engineering & Data Science Interview): A 1-hour virtual meeting on October 2, 2024, focusing on my technical skills, personal fit, and cultural alignment. Throughout the process, I experienced significant delays, with results from each round taking around 10 days to be confirmed. Although my interview experiences were positive, the lack of clear communication regarding the hiring timeline and the eventual rejection decision was disappointing.
