Future POC applicants, please BE AWARE and ON NOTICE that most tech startups will ONLY interview candidates of color with no intention of hiring them to meet a DEI quota. This is one of those companies. I DO NOT recommend working for this company as inclusivity is lacking and is not a priority.

Zoom interview with the hiring manager
All went well until the hiring manager was able to verify and was shocked that I was a POC once the Zoom interview started. The hiring manager asked questions toward the end of the Zoom interview that were biased and unrelated to the role for which I interviewed. The biased questions were personal and invasive and I thought it was strange and unprofessional to take that approach in an interview.
The hiring manager was visibly uncomfortable during the entire Zoom interview and it was apparent that the hiring manager made a conscious decision to not move forward once they realized they were interviewing a POC without regard to my professional experience.
I followed up with the recruiter and the recruiting coordinator since the communication slowed down after the zoom interview. The communication was fast up until this point and this lack of follow up confirmed all I needed to know. The racial bias was apparent at this point and it was obvious that they were trying to avoid further communication without making the discrimination obvious. I then received an email from the recruiter informing me that the hiring manager decided not to move forward with me as a candidate due to a lack of cultural fit.
