Had a brief 1st 30 minute phone interview with the recruiter. After the call I was contacted to schedule a second interview with the hiring manager. I received a call from the recruiter 2 hours prior to my scheduled second phone interview and was told they wanted to cancel due to alignment of skills for the role. Also saw on LinkedIn the hiring manager had just viewed my profile prior to the cancellation call. I appreciate the honesty, but wish they had made this decision prior to me scheduling time in my day for a call last week.
