I interviewed for the Compliance Manager position at OutSystems. The interview process itself was professional and engaging — I enjoyed meeting the team and learning more about the company’s mission and compliance goals. Everyone I spoke with seemed knowledgeable and passionate about their work.
Unfortunately, the communication following the interview was disappointing. Several days after our conversation, I noticed a new LinkedIn post from the hiring manager announcing that they were “hiring a Compliance Manager” — the same role I had just interviewed for. When I inquired with the recruiter, she said I was no longer in consideration. Workday still stated "Interviews Underway."
While I completely understand that hiring decisions can change, it would have been more professional to send a short message or email letting candidates know the outcome before publicly reposting the role is still open. It’s a small step that makes a big difference in the candidate experience and reflects the company’s commitment to respectful communication.
Overall, the interview itself was positive, but the lack of closure and transparency at the end of the process left a negative impression.
