Me postulé en línea. Acudí a una entrevista en OrthoCarolina

      Entrevista

I received an initial callback from HR who then scheduled me for a follow up conversation with them the following day at an agreed upon time. He was more than fifteen minutes late when calling for the interview, which was a bit concerning, but I continued to try to be open minded. We spent the next 45 minutes discussing the background of the company as well as benefits, but, very little was said regarding the actual position. After some basic questioning about the group, it was clear that the recruiter had no idea what their needs were, besides what was written in the job description online when I applied. He then agreed to finally submit my resume to the group ( I thought that this would have been done already) and see if they were interested. About a week later I was able to talk to the office manager who was interested and said that they would be in touch later in the week to schedule another phone interview. Another week and a half went by,and once again I was in touch with the recruiter who wanted to schedule something onsite. Once again, it was clear that he was not familiar with what was discussed. When I explained to him that it was supposed to be a phone interview, he tried a method of intimidation by saying that another candidate was lined up for the position and so it might not be available if I do not come onsite very soon. By this point, I was frustrated with HR acting as the 'middle man' and seemingly pushing his own agenda rather than what the group was agreeable with doing. There was definitely a lack of communication with HR and the ortho group which is a turn off.On that premise, I chose to end the interview process and proceed with other interviews. My advice to the company is to try and develop a better relationship with candidates directly as the recruiter might chase the good ones off before you even have a chance to get to know them.
