Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 4 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Optimum General Insurance (Toronto, ON) en ene 2012
Entrevista
it was great, very well organised. the questions that they asked me were very relevant to underwriting. There was general questions, chit chat about hobbies, interests, etc. The interviewer was very knowledgeable and so was the human resources person.

Facing 1 supervisor & the commercial lines manager. They started with my background where I had to justify things. They were quite judgemental regarding my previous experiences: I did not like that. They asked why I wanted to work for Optimum. They asked how much I was expecting to earn (even if they knew what they wanted to pay but they did not disclose this piece of information). Then there was a 1h test about some commercial coverage and some u/w cases (fairly easy). The energy of this interview was very low as the manager was really not motivated. At the end of the interview, I wondered why they had invited me for an interview. I felt I had to justify my past experiences too much and that they were not focusing at all on the future. The position posted did not correspond to the position they were recruiting for (position just for renewals). Had they given me the job, I would not have taken it as I felt it was not a good fit at all. I had a positive image of Optimum before the interview. After it, I realized that I might have idealized this company.

There are 2 interviews. First interview was with a manager. I was asked about my previous experiences and schooling. Additionally, was asked to describe myself and that was it. Second, I am not sure with whom but was told that there are 2. The office was small, however, the people were very friendly. I was told that the turn-over is low.
