Very unprofessional of the c-level interviewer to actually bring up Age during interview and mention that " he wants a young candidate because only they have energy to work in startup environment"
He continued to say that I dont have the same energy as a young candidate because there is a lot of work to be done to support HPE's needs after the acquisition.
When I mentioned that- in the past, I have focused and committed myself to my job so much that I wasnt present when my mom passed..and I became emotional mentioning my mom's passing . .. he considered my emotion as a problem. I guess the Employee sacrificing their parents to complete work, is still not enough. And the fact that Employee is feeling guilty for their mom's passing, is seen as weakness by the c-level executive.
I am surprised that he is even hired by HPE. The founder of Opsramp's behavior during the interview shows the culture and lack of respect for CA labor laws against age-discrimination.
My suggestion, please stay away from this team. They cover up their illegal hiring processes.
