Head hunter reached out via LinkedIn. Phone interviews with prospective Manager, SVP of Sales and then in-person interviews. In-person on-site interviews consisted of presentation followed by individual intensive interviews x 5 including meeting with company founder. The volume of interviews and questions on a single day was pretty tiring!

Initial contact was very direct thru an email from HR who arrange two phone conversations. First one just to go thru my personal details and check the chronology and making sure I would fit the main requirements for the position. This lasted less than 30min. A second one much more detailed on my motivation and what type of contribution I could do to this company. It's expected to show that you know the company business model inside out. I found the experience with HR very professional and transparent about my shortcomings and my strengths for the role. This lasted 45min. Then I had two 1:1 interviews. One with a technical person and one with a senior management person. Their roles were not clearly defined as they pretty much told me they were doing the same thing. One looked completely burnt out and checking his emails while I was speaking and the other guy looked like a first year MBA graduate with very high level marketing b.s. The interviews lasted one hour each tho and they mentioned they liked my profile (really?). I waited for 5 weeks as they were interviewing hundreds of people it seems. I sent an email to the interviewers to thank them and only one replied. Then HR roughly gave me a ball park of the salary and checked if I like to go to the next step which I declined.
