      Entrevista

      I interviewed by phone initially and then in-person twice - first with the team and direct supervisors and then with the CEO, Thad Eby. While the team and staff were excellent, Thad was unprepared and had clearly not read my CV or cover letter, despite this being a late stage interview in the process. He was on his cellphone frequently while speaking to me, obviously disengaged. He also asked me inappropriate questions about how/where I grew up which had no relevance to my experience or the position. Although I had great conversations with the team, I came away feeling like Thad and I had not connected, so I was a little surprised to receive an offer. Frankly, I was not comfortable with the CEO interaction and had another very competitive offer on the table, which I accepted instead.

      Hi There, This is Thad, the CEO of Ombud. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback that interviewing with Ombud was a negative experience for you. Your experience is never the impact I wish to have on candidates, and I am sorry you walked away feeling as though we had not connected. My intent behind my interview questions is to understand each candidate's story - what brought you to Ombud and why you are looking to join our team. The goal behind our Customer Success Analyst position is to provide an entry-level opportunity to join the Denver tech community, and most of our CSAs joined Ombud as part of a career change. In an effort to support that important decision, I want to understand where candidates are coming from and how Ombud can help them achieve their goals.
