I was contacted over LinkedIn by Ola recruiter and sent me an assessment test link. There was a cut off to clear the assessment test so clear that one. After that, there was a HLD interview, they asked me a DS question and one designing question. And I could not complete the DS question properly so I had to given one more DS+Algo round. After this there was a techno managerial round.

Some DS questions. the interviewer had very narrow mindset and does not know much about clear question clarification. Also they only want the mugged up answers available in geeksforgeeks and don't want any other answer. No wonder Ola engineering has such bad reputation in the market. Don't seriously think about joining Olacabs. If you want it as a mock interview then it's good LOL.

I applied to Ola via LinkedIn. She called me back immediately and discussed my profile details. Since I was an immediate joiner, she quickly sent my profile for short-listing. After that, began , what I can call a complete waste of my time and resources. She arranged for my first interview (DS/Algo) after a couple of weeks. A day before, she confirmed my availability. On the day itself, I wasn't feeling too good. So I called her and asked for a re-schedule. In response, I got a whole lot of flak from her .. saying that I had already committed and it's impossible to change interview time that day at such short notice. So I gathered all my leftover strength, drank some hot fluids and logged in. And no-one turned up!!! I waited for 10-15 mins and called her. She called me back in sometime , citing "interviewer laptop is not working" as reason for cancelling interview. I wish would have done similar due-diligence while checking interviewer availability like she did with me. Also! geez! come up with a better excuse ! My 10-year old niece is wayy more creative when she lies. So the interview was re-scheduled in the next 2-3 days. And no-one showed up! Again! And these happened again. You might be wondering why I was entertaining this. TBH, I don't know. My anger -> indifference -> amusement by then. I admit I was curious to see how long this would drag on! Finally 4th time's the charm. I gave the interview. Pretty easy. Definitely not worth the wait. I cleared it and my next design round was scheduled. She promised this time she it would be speedy as she was aware my joining date with another company was coming up. And guess what - I was ditched again! Must say though - I definitely had better luck browsing Tinder. I never heard back from her till my joining date. Then on my Joining Date, she came back meekly with tail between her legs asking if I was still interested. I gave her a resounding NO. I understand I cannot hold her solely responsible if the interviewers don't show up. But checking their availability before-hand, making alternative arrangements etc, having a contingency plan in-place is a part of her job description, I think. Seems to be in a wrong line of work. So my application stands abandoned in Ola for now. Have updated the ds/algo interview questions. Please blame the recruiter for me not updating the remaining questions :P
