Lots of very informal conversations with different people (maybe 3 calls / interviews). Then a presentation to the hiring manager towards the end. It felt very much more about cultural fit than competency as there weren't may directional questions asked, but it was a good way of getting to know the teams and see different perspectives.

I applied directly on their website and was contacted a few weeks later for an initial chat with their internal recruiter which lasted about 30min. This was then followed by three 1-hour interviews with two senior heads of department. Communication throughout was excellent. I was regularly updated during the whole process by the recruiter, who was very kind and attentive. The interviews were somewhat formal, and rigorous. Standard questions were asked relating to my experience and skills, and a very good picture of the role and organisation was painted. The focus of the interviews was in understanding my level of expertise in Strategy, including my experience across the full breadth of strategy and planning capabilities including brand, creative and digital strategy, my understanding of different strategic models and frameworks, and the specific projects I worked on that best illustrated this experience. I was also asked to share a few case studies. Overall it was a very positive experience and I was very impressed by their attitude and rigour. But in the end, despite being offered the role, I opted not to accept it.
