I interviewed for an associate medical writer role and submitted all requested materials, including writing samples. I was told I’d hear back early next week the following week. Two weeks later, I’ve followed up twice and still haven’t received any response. As someone who took the time to prepare in my busy schedule, attend the interview, and submit work, I find the complete lack of follow-up deeply unprofessional and disrespectful. If you’re not going to move forward with a candidate, at least have the courtesy to send a basic rejection. This experience reflects poorly on how Nucleus Global (Inizio) values potential talent. I would caution others to consider whether they want to engage with a company that treats applicants this way.

The interview is extremely tedious for a job that is paying on the lower side of most entry positions in the biomedical science field. However, the interview process is a good practice for science communication jobs.
