I had a disappointing experience with the interview process at Novo.
The process began with a phone screening with a recruiter, who explained that the interview stages would include an interview with the hiring manager, a panel interview with multiple team members, and a final interview with the director. All of these were expected to be completed within a relatively short timeframe.
At the end of the phone screening, the recruiter mentioned that she would send me a link to schedule the next interview. However, I never received the link. I followed up via email and did not receive a response initially. After sending a second follow-up, I was informed that the process had already progressed with candidates in the final stages. This update came less than 24 hours after my phone call with the recruiter.
Overall, the experience felt disorganized and unfortunately, like a waste of time, particularly given the lack of communication following the initial screening.
Advice to Management:
Ensure there is clear coordination and communication throughout the hiring process, and be transparent with candidates about the stage of hiring before scheduling screening calls. Respecting applicants’ time makes a meaningful difference in the candidate experience.
