Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Northrop Grumman (Sunnyvale, CA) en oct 2018

I applied for the position early October. The process moved FAST. (I later found out that I had stumbled into the middle of the Rocktober hiring event.) Recruiter called within a couple days to direct me towards a different position that was a better match, and sent me a list of job-specific questions a couple days after that. On-site interview a week later, was told I'd get an offer the next day. Got the offer, negotiated successfully probably because this was a much-needed position.
There was no initial screening aside from the job questionnaire. The onsite interview was done by a panel of about half-dozen team members plus hiring manager, all of whom do the exact job I was applying for (O.o). Peppered with many technical questions. Nothing theoretical, only practical things I have encountered on the job. I would explain what I've done, and they would dig, technically. Most questions were a result of where the overall conversation was moving. No typical HR "fluff" questions or STAR questions. The closest they got was, "have you dealt with difficult personalities on the job?" and, "how do you work under pressure?" Lots of talking shop between and after questions; this is a great way to showcase what you know, as well as show your passion for this line of work.
Got a tour of the place. It is amazing. Mix of small and massive machinery. Mix of very old and state-of-the-art. Tour was supposed to be with the recruitment group since it was a hiring event, but I was taken alone by my hiring manager, clearly to extend the limited interview time.

The questions were very specific based on the experiences I shared, such as specific machine control commands, machine settings for specific tools and materials, etc.
Short process that required a 1-on-2 with two team managers. Behavioral questions that are commonly found online and should be responded to in STAR format. Pretty straightforward, but be able to talk in detail about your experiences.

HR Business Partner reached out to schedule an interview and set up the following week. Interview with hiring manager went great! Received an offer over the phone from HR (Wednesday afternoon). Tried to negotiate salary a bit, with no success. I asked if I could have the night to decide and discuss with family; HR agreed. Called the next morning to accept the offer. HR said "great, I'll let the manager know." Got a call 4 hours later saying the manager wanted to "continue interviewing stronger candidates". Very unprofessional experience overall. Not sure why NG is extending offers to "weak" candidates.

I was contacted via email and we set a date for when the hiring manager could call me. He was the engineering manager for the entire division, and he told me there would only be one interview.

They asked me to tell them about myself. Then they went over the values of Northrop and asked me to tell them about a time I exhibited each of these values in the workplace.
