After being pursued and going through several rounds I was told an offer was coming. 4 days went by and I was then told a drastic “probable budget shift” has happened and they assumed I wouldn’t want the job anymore. They were of course right after how I was treated. They had claimed they were family oriented and very upfront but this was not the case. A completely terrible way to treat someone.
