I applied online then received a call from HR to schedule phone interview. It went well then i had to give a zoom interview with one of the manager that also went well and manager was impressed . After they told me to take analytical test. Very less time- 2 hrs and 3 lengthy questions. I am pretty sure i have done well in the test but suddenly Hr emails me by saying there were other candidates who has more closer experience to this job. I need to know where it went bad but they dint respond me which was bad. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IF HR CAN AT LEAST GIVE SOME FEEDBACK.

      Entrevista

I applied online for the performance marketing specialist position and was contacted by a recruiter a couple days later. I had a phone screening where they asked questions about my resume and got to know my background a little better to see if I would be a good fit for the position. Afterwards, they decided to move me on in the process by having me take a 90-minute analytics assessment which was fairly easy if you have experience working with data and marketing analytics. After taking the assessment, I was told by the recruiter that I performed strongly and they would like me to move forward with the interview process. The next step was having a video interview with a member of the team. I was told in an e-mail who I would be interviewing with and once the video interview started, it was a different person than who was mentioned in the email, which sort of threw me off. The interview went well, he asked more situational questions pertinent to the role and at one point told me based on my background that I have an advantage over other candidates, which gave me confidence. I was then told by one recruiter that they would like to move forward with on-site interviews and asked me to send my availability. This is where it gets murky. I emailed back my availability for on-site interviews and soon after received a response from another recruiter that there was no need to do on-site interviews and they can handle it through another round of video interviews. I was a little disheartened from that because if my upcoming interviews went well and they decided to give me an offer, I wouldn't have even seen the office to know if it was a good fit or not. It gave me the impression that they weren't seriously considering my candidacy at that point or they didn't have the budget to bring people on-site who weren't living in the Seattle area. Irregardless, I decided to move forward with the video interviews which were four back-to-back 30-45 minute interviews. Once again, some of the people who interviewed me were not the people who were listed on the e-mail, which isn't a huge deal to me but gave me the impression that they weren't very organized and aligned. I felt that the interviews went well. There were more in-depth, situational questions as well as opportunities for them to tell me more about the company culture to see if I would be a good fit for the high-paced, startup culture they have that is not always easy. It was a positive experience and it seemed like those who interviewed me were excited about my candidacy. Once the interviews finished, I was told I would hear back from the team within 24-48 hours. This was on a Tuesday. I didn't hear final feedback until the following Friday, 10 days later. The recruiter told me that the feedback from the interviewers was positive and I was at the top of a very short list of candidates. The recruiter then cc'd the head of recruiting and said they were finalizing things on their end. At this point, I was feeling pretty confident since everything the recruiter was saying pointed towards me getting an offer. Later that night, I got an email saying they will not be taking next steps at this time. I have never felt more led on by a company than New Engen. Yes, I was disappointed but I was more frustrated at how things were communicated throughout the process.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I am terribly sorry you had a negative experience. Your frustration by our process and the communication you received (and lack thereof) is completely valid. There were multiple people involved in your interview which made the communication hand-offs and timing very clunky. Irregardless, it doesn’t justify what you experienced. It is not reflective of our company values and we are incredibly regretful of what you went through. It is never easy to hear (or read) when something goes bad, but I am appreciative of your sharing your experience. Your feedback has prompted us to reevaluate parts of our interview process where we can improve upon and ensure this doesn’t happen again. We wish you the best in your future career endeavors.
