Honestly seemed rushed and impersonal. Constantly felt like I was defending myself instead of them being genuinely interested. They have something very specific they're looking for but won't tell you what it is.
The hiring process was an intensive five-stage interview conducted over several months. I completed four of those five stages before the business needs of the team changed and the hiring process was suspended indefinitely.
Though the interviews and my interactions with the hiring team were overwhelmingly pleasant, the process and lack of transparency made the experience incredibly frustrating. The volatility I observed in hiring team personnel changes, constant role scope adjustments, and more, made it clear that Neuralink has significant issues with their structural organization and internal communication.
Though not a complete waste of time, there is very little I gained besides technical interview experience. The questions were fair, interesting, and pertained directly to the role at hand, but I wish I was given direct feedback from my interviewers, as my only source of communication was through the HR department.
