After the recruiter call, the manager reached out to me on my personal mobile and kept me waiting for a month, giving me high hopes that I would make up my mind about this role. She then asked me to create a presentation to showcase on interview day. I was called onsite for an interview, and they shared positive feedback right then and there, indicating they were ready to hire me and even discussed compensation details. However, the VP call that followed included no questions related to my process or work experience — they simply said "you're not a fit." It's clear they were not even sure whether they wanted to hire in the first place.
