I had a lot of expectations from Netmail, but, sadly, expectations hardly come through.
Netmail has an online test, which was a lot of fun to do. It basically was sort of like a treasure hunt. Insert the right command to get the key.
There were two rounds; the initial phone round was with the HR Manager and the QA manager. They both seemed nice and we talked about my background and the work I had done. It was the technical round that things went downhill.
The technical round was setup with a VP and a QA Manager. And the moment the VP walked in, I knew I was not getting the job. His entire attitude and demeanour was sour. He did not want me and it was quite evident, even though he had not even looked at my CV. He barely let me finish explaining a sentence about my professional experience, before cutting me in and saying how busy he was. Then, he pronounced judgement that I basically had no experience and why I was even applying after doing degrees so different to what I was applying for.
I have never been so disrespected in my life.
And, then, came the farce with the written technical test. Even though I had asked specifically about what I should study (I was barely given a day), the questions were so over the top, I laughed. 36 questions in an hour. They will tell you to just bring yourself, that is clearly not enough.
I will write down whatever I remember, so the next person does not get shafted as I did.
