Approximately five people joined in for a in-person interview. They asked standard laboratory interview questions, basic job questions i.e. how to handle a difficult situation, how to work with a difficult co-worker, what to prioritize, and asked about previous experience as a laboratory technician

What is a problem that you encountered during your experience as a laboratory technician and how did you solve it?
Phone call and in person interview. There was about a week period in between each. Phone call was short get to know you feeling. The onsite interview was more technical. Small tour of the company and technician process. Overall friendly atmosphere.

I was contacted the next day after applying. I had an interview within a week. The interview was with two lab managers, and the questions were related to sharing my background and experience. I knew I was overqualified for the position, and the managers made it clear my duties would be very basic/entry-level. I was ok with this, as I had been looking for work for a long time. I thought the interview went very well, and I was told I'd be contacted at the end of the following week, as they had another interview. I ended up waiting an extra 10 days, at which point I contacted the recruiter. I received a response that he had forwarded my inquiry to the hiring managers. It has been a week since I e-mailed the recruiter, and have yet to hear back from the managers. I understand not wanting to hire an overqualified candidate, but a response--especially when one was promised--would have been appreciated.
