      I was contacted directly by an internal recruiter on LinkedIn about a role that closely matched my experience, which initially left me with a very positive impression of the company. The early conversation was friendly and encouraging though it was clear the recruiter was new to the company. Despite the company stressing urgency in placing the role, there was nearly a three-week gap before any follow-up. The subsequent interview with a Senior member of the leadership team was a very poor experience. The interviewer appeared disengaged, the interview lacked structure, and the questions were vague and poorly communicated. Attempts to clarify expectations seemed to frustrate the interviewer, making the interaction uncomfortable and unproductive. I left feeling that rapport was impossible to establish. I was told a next stage with a founder might follow, but after that I was completely ghosted—no update, rejection, or response to follow-ups. Given that I was proactively approached and invested significant time preparing, this lack of communication felt unprofessional. While the company may be scaling quickly, that does not excuse ignoring candidates. Ultimately, the interview process reflected poorly on the company, and in hindsight, not progressing further may have been for the best.
