If this is your way of filtering candidates in the field of software development, you must be filtering out the right candidates. It's not necessary that a good programmer will be good in mathematics. If you want to clear this as a lateral hire, you need to take GATE tuitions at first. And 30 questions of such a high level in just 20 minutes is horrible.
