I wanted to share my experience interviewing for an IT Support Specialist role at NXP Semiconductors. Overall, it wasn’t a great experience.
The process started fine. I passed the first interview with HR and then had a technical interview with the IT team, which also went well. However, the final interview with two hiring managers left a lot to be desired. They showed up late, seemed rushed, and made comments implying that I was only there because others thought I was good enough. It felt dismissive. On top of that, they weren’t prepared with questions and didn’t even give me a chance to ask my own.
After that, I followed up multiple times, but they never responded. It felt like they completely ghosted me, which is disappointing after investing so much time in the process.
In hindsight, I think it worked out for the best. The experience gave me the impression of a fast-paced, potentially toxic environment. I’m actually glad I didn’t end up there.
