I applied online after hearing about the job from an NPR employee, and two weeks later, a producer asked me to come in to interview in person. When I arrived for my interviews the following week, I was taken into a booth for a radio test, where I chatted with an editor, then read some of my previous work, then read a sample news story. Then I had a couple of interviews with a couple of editors at a time, and I was on my way.
