If you have prior NHS experience and understand its workflows, interviews should be straightforward. However, if you’re an experienced engineer without NHS experience, the questions may feel like an IELTS speaking test: abstract and odd. You might respond with complex technical answers, only to realise they expected simple responses. It would be better if they added a note like, ‘Please do not apply if you do not have previous NHS experience,’ to save everyone time.
