The application process was quite long online, however, that is to be expected with healthcare related jobs. I recieved my invitation to interview about a week after through email and I confirmed my slot online. The interview itself was easy, I was only asked about 8 questions. 2 of which I couldn't respond to as they were very laboratory based (in terms of equipment they used) and I had no previous experience. I do have experience in geberal lab however. The two staff members that interviewed me were very understanding and said they would expect that from my background not being in this type of field. I recieved a phone call the day after offering me the position, subject to reference and DBS checks.

a 20-30 minute interview in front of a panel, followed by a 15-minute practical test. The interview focused on health & safety and confidentiality (GDPR). Make sure you research GDPR and the various risks associated with the lab (Biological, chemical, and physical). So make sure you become familiar with how to prevent breaches of data and risks (SOPs, COSHH, PPE). Do some research on how the lab operates and your duties, as they may ask you about this. They also ask you how to ensure a team works well together. The practical test included arranging blocks in numerical order, accounting for alphabetical suffixes (e.g., if numbers are identical, A group precedes B, and B group precedes C). If you prepare well and do some research beforehand, it should go smoothly.
