The interview process was disjointed and lengthy. I received different versions of the role from each person I spoke to. The business did not seem to know what direction it was going in with the role at all. I was initially rejected and told it was close but the person they selected had more experience than me which is fair. However, they then called me one week later to say that person had withdrawn and would I like to still consider the role. The recruitment team told me that it would involve one final round with a person I had not yet been interviewed by. This last person who interviewed me told me it had gone well and to expect an offer. The recruitment team said the same. However after two weeks trying to get in contact someone finally called me back to say they were going in a different direction. The recruitment team were lovely and they were embarrassed by the situation. It wasted my time because after all it was them that asked me.
