In total, seven interviews + a presentation/mock client alignment session. The process was with the UK team, for a position in Germany.
It was all very professional and efficient. Interviewers were generally straight to the point, austere, and I found them tough to connect with. I might have done better if the interviews were a little more friendly – but all was fair. Nobody was ever disrespectful.
The final feedback was that another candidate demonstrated more knowledge of the email marketing and personalisation ecosystem during the presentation. You'd think the previous steps would've filtered out insufficient prior knowledge and the induction/onboarding would fill the gaps – but it's an understandable justification to provide. If they were more candid it probably invites arguments.
In any case, I believe they ran a fair process, found someone they liked more and honestly wish them all the best.
Long, Arduous. Drawn-Out. Did 6 rounds of interviews with this company, the last being a presentation deck that took a week to prepare and countless hours of unpaid time just to not be offered the job over a minor technicality. Honestly glad I wasn't hired, if that is the interview process I can only imagine the daily expectations of the role. Also, pay range was only $70-85k,

Far too many steps. Make you jump through hoops, very demoralising in a tough market. They expect you to be a product expert BEFORE JOINING. Without providing any actual training.
Step 1: Call with recruiter. Standard, friendly interview for a basic background check.
Step 2: Interview with the manager. Simple questions unrelated to the product. Focused on experience and why you chose to apply.
Step 3: Presentation about the product WITH NO TRAINING OF THE PRODUCT. Despicable, and a huge red flag. They genuinely do expect you to understand their product and will ask intricate questions from a client's perspective.
