Internal interview with hiring coordinator and then hiring manager. Unstructured interview process lacks roles specific assessment. With unclear evaluation criteria, making it difficult to understand how hiring decisions are made. Lack of constructive feedback for unsuccessful candidates, limiting opportunities for improvement.

I applied for a PM job mid June, got a call for an interview a few weeks later. The initial HR screen interview took place the next day....with a commitment that I would hear back soon if a 2nd interview was going to happen. I received an email for a second interview on the same day. Due to availability on Moneris' side....they were in a rush to hold the second interview the very next day. I agreed, and a time was set . On the day of the call, one of the people was 10 minutes late for the interview....so an awkward 10 minutes was spent making small talk with a person who clearly did not want to be there. The other person finally shows up....and my 45 minute interview is really down to a little over 30 minutes. The interview itself was rather banal....just the usual questions about my experience....which they would have known had they actually spent time to review my resume. None of the scenario questions were all that challenging...but the entire time (this was a Teams call) the lady on the call was making weird faces and presenting body language that told me that this call wasn't going anywhere at all. Rolling eyeballs, attention diverted to something other than the person being interviewed, and so on. I did not get the impression that I was going to be seriously considered at all....despite the fact that I met every single one of the role requirements. Her mind was made up as soon as she saw I was a middle-aged, white male. Upon interview closing, I was told that I would hear from HR regarding next steps. It's been over a week now....and HR has not reached out to me at all....although I can see my candidate status has been set to decline on their applicant system. Thank you so much for lying to me....that tells me pretty much all I need to know about your organization, and goes a long way to explaining the many, many negative reviews about this organization that can be found online.
