Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 4 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en MobyMax (Remote, OR) en oct 2017

      Entrevista

Kind but unprofessional. I went through their interview/testing process successfully and was eventually made an informal offer (only to retract from it a few weeks later!). The technical interview was with their CTO and included various technical questions and several live coding exercises via a collaborative document. The technical interview went pretty well, and I didn't hesitate to ask the interviewer how he thought I did in the end. He literally praised my effort and outcome. Funny thing he initially started testing me for another "backend" role, but I did not hesitate to answer those questions too! A few weeks later though, to my surprise, I received the typical rejection email from their HR that they had settled on another candidate who was closer to their immediate needs. I never responded to that email. BUT - it didn't end there. The real funny part was that a few weeks after the rejection, they decided to come back to me with an apology and what looked like a happy ending to the whole story. They said that they are opening another position for a React engineer and they wanted to check first with me if I am still available, as they were very impressed with my performance on the technical interview. They said that the real reason for rejecting me was they couldn't meet my rate (28 euros per hour was my asking rate) at the time of the interview, but their VP of engineering had made an extra effort to convince the management to extend their budget so they could bring me on board. They were now in a position to meet my rate "without a stretch", said their HR. Yay! The HR girl was in fact very kind with her words and comments on my performance and all. So I accepted the offer and got in line for a brief chat with their VP of engineering before turning the whole thing into a formal contract. I had the meeting with the VP a few days later, which to my understanding was nothing but a brief introduction to the company's dev processes (nothing out of the ordinary). The VP seemed pleasant and specifically said that they would put forth the contract within the next few days. Two weeks after and I had not heard a word from them. After pinging the HR girl for a follow up, she came back to me with another round of bad news, saying that they couldn't make me an offer after all. She treated me to some lame excuse that their CEO changed his mind in the end. So I am left with a bit of a sour taste from these guys. The entire process was overall unprofessional in my opinion.
