I submitted my application, resume and link to portfolio on their site. Received a phone interview where HR asked me basic questions about the last 5 or so years of my life, including how and why I got into coding. I was invited to the In-person interview in two weeks because people's schedules were conflicting. It was the most comfortable interview I had ever sat through. They actually paid attention to the code in my work and asked relevant questions pertaining to the job description. They offered me water and explained that they were a growing company and that they could potentially have a couple spots for me on the team if developer didn't pan out. I just love the willingness of the company to make it work for your interests.
