Me postulé en línea. Acudí a una entrevista en Mission Media (Baltimore, MD)

      Entrevista

Had first phone interview and everything went great. Got invited in for a second interview. I'm mid-career age and I'm fairly certain I was by far the older than any of the other employees I came across when I came in. Most seemed to be in their 20s, maybe a few in their early 30s. I felt like the second interview went really well. The interview was at the end of the workday, and I asked when I might hear something. The hiring manager told me she had other candidates to interview and would let me know in a week or so. No less than a day later I got a short email that they were not moving forward. I asked for a follow up and never heard anything back. Just a day or so later I saw the same position posted again on LinkedIn. I've seen the position posted twice more since then. It seems to me they're not seriously hiring for this position - just doing what many other companies do when they want to see what else is out there or compare salaries etc. Companies that do this are extremely disrespectful of job seekers who often go through great lengths in order to attend an interview. Child care costs, using time off (sometimes unpaid), travel costs, are just a few of the costs people incur to interview for a job, not to mention the preparation time and emotional investment. Frankly, the fact that a company disregards all of this to gather Intel reflects much on how little professional courtesy, and frankly integrity, they have for people who genuinely wish to work with them. Dont waste your time if you see this position posted - they are not seriously hiring.
