I was excited at the potential with this company - until I had quite possibly one of the weirdest, unprofessional and most farcical job interviews I've been a part of in 20 years of enterprise technology sales.
Among other aspects, the Chief Growth Officer wouldn't even turn on his camera for the interview and his mic was mostly mute while he was eating lunch (!!) throughout the entire call.
I had prepped quite a bit for this, both independently and with the executive recruiter, and whatever we discussed in the interview, nothing seemed to resonate with this person. It became clear that there was very little substance or interest, leading me to wonder why we were even bothering to waste my time and his. The CGO also seemed to have very little actual sales experience, rather more of the management/forecasting variety, so talking about how I ran enterprise sales cycles and stories of big wins didn't solicit much of a response either.
The feedback I got later was that the interview was "unorganized," which is strange because he was the one who was supposed to be running it? Several other exceptional sales leaders within my network have interviewed here and had similar experiences. This executive seems to be an impediment to top sales talent joining the company, I would suggest anyone reading this avoid for the foreseeable future.
