The first stage with the recruiter went really well. We had a few fantastic conversations. I was incredibly excited about the role and the business. I was confident my skills were a good fit for what they were looking for, and I could make a solid contribution to their business. I had to chase for the next steps actively, and then when I heard nothing and followed up a couple of times before being told they'd decided to go with another candidate.
