Entrevista
Applied online via sending C.V.
Then sent online test to complete consisting of 50 questions in 25 minutes. Managed to complete 44 of them.
Invited to telephone and arrange assessment centre time. Required to fill out lengthy online application form.
Assessment centre-
Arrived at 10:00 am and given a presentation about the company
Sat psychometric test. Given 10 minutes to practice and 45 minutes to complete 72 questions.
Followed straight after with 3 problem solving tests.
1) Communication protocol logic- A sends B tablets using stupid slaves who can't tell who sent it. Devise a solution so that B knows who sent it and the order.
2) Writing the output of a programming script. Code calls on many subfunctions.
3) Write a program to play a game with rules similar to a cross between blackjack and hearts. Improve on your program.

Entrevista
First I submitted CV and cover letter.
Shortly afterI was asked to do an online aptitude test (quite time pressured).
I then got an invitation to interview (all travel expenses covered by Metaswitch). Before coming to the interview, I was asked to fill out an online application form. Questions included, for example, what my 3 greatest strengths/weaknesses were.
The interview started with a brief 30 minute presentation about the company (this wasn’t assessed). Then 3 tests. The first was a 40 minute aptitude test (70 questions, so harder but similar to the online one). Then a 25 minute test followed by a 40 minute test. There wasn’t much time in between them but enough to go to the toilet. Then we had a 25 minute break where we were given some food. Then came the face to face interview. It mostly concerned my answers to the final two tests, though there were some about about my cv and application form.

Pregunta 1
The second test was about describing an algorithm that could play a game of “flapjack”, and how to improve this algorithm. The third test concerned a map of “Esteros”. Questions included, for example, what the cheapest/fastest route was of getting from one node to another, given certain constraints.
