I was very confused. The interview was supposed to last 2 hours. I entered the interview room with 6 other candidates. That's fine. Then we introduce ourselves briefly and go directly into sales training exercises. We pitch a hypothetical sale as a group to better understand each other which takes about 10 minutes of prep and 20 minutes of semicoordinated scrambling for an imaginary sale by a group of people who don't even know each other. As a collective, we're organizing questions such as 'What do you look for in a supplier? and 'Do you want to taste our product before you buy it?' I'm losing my mind at this point. We haven't heard a word about the role or what it entails. The interviewer David specifies what we should be asking of companies they'd connect us with but somehow didn't think to help us understand what we'd be hoping to connect with. He briefly touches on how CV's should have the correct spelling of 'License', because apparently that's not the british way to write it and some nonsense about how it's verb for something a vicar does. Do you see why I'm losing it? He decided to bring us all into a seperate room and pull us out for further 'presentations' one at a time. I briefly managed to ask the other candidates if they were as confused as me, which led to one other candidate agreeing. This prompted David to pull me into a meeting one on one first. I've never been first in my life. He was aloof and confused when I stated my concern letting him know about how uninformed I felt. I tried to ask about how many roles he was trying to fill and he states that he'd be happy filling just one role if that's what he deemed appropriate. I'm standing up pacing by this point. Fair enough, I'm doing an interview off my phone and I'm getting increasingly agitated by the lack of communication regarding the actual roles. He dismissively suggests that I must be in a rush as I'm walking about and offers me a half hearted 'Hey, you can call me tomorrow to discuss if now's not a good time' I happily take the offer because in my mind I've already wasted an hour of my life. I'm not the type of person to write reviews but that interview made me consider accepting homelessness.
