Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 3 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Meta en mar 2020
Entrevista
My experience was different than I expected it to be. I initially applied to a different role through a referral, however the recruiter reached out to me for this specific role. The first step was scheduling a phone screen with the recruiter. This was 15 minutes and was a simple explanation of my experience and the recruiter gave me a general overview of the company and team. The recruiter also mentioned the salary on this call and it was a lot lower than I expected considering my current role pays more and I have 3 years of experience when the FB role only requires 1 year.
The recruiter moved me to the next step of the process which would include a 30 minute video chat with the hiring manager. I asked for more details to prepare for this interview, but the recruiter simply said it would be behavioral with a general overview of my experience and how it related to this role.
So to prep for the video chat I reviewed the FB role extensively and wrote down examples of my work experience that highlighted how I was a fit for the role. I also reviewed the FB team page and culture pages in depth to get a strong understanding of what they are looking for.
Next step - video chat with hiring manager. While I had spent a few days preparing, I was completely caught off guard with the structure of this interview. To start, the hiring manager gave a 2 minute ramble on the team and position, and then dove right into an abstract question that I was not prepared for. I didn't even have a chance to discuss my background and strengths and interests, so I wondered if the interviewer even knew anything about me.
Overall the experience felt very confusing, rushed and impersonal. I wish the recruiter would've informed me about the problem solving structure of the interview, it would've been easy if I knew what I was walking in to.

What metrics would you use to improve the flow for content that is reported as offensive?
The process began with an initial recruiter phone screen focused on my background, product experience, and interest in Meta. This was followed by a series of virtual interviews covering product sense, analytical thinking, execution, and behavioral questions. Interviewers asked me to work through product design scenarios, discuss how I would prioritize competing opportunities, define success metrics, and describe examples of cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
The final round consisted of multiple back-to-back interviews with product managers and cross-functional partners. Overall, the process was structured, professional, and challenging. The interviewers were engaged and provided clear expectations for each interview.
Interview process was fairly straightforward. Recruiters are super helpful in getting you prepared for whats to come. Interviews got scheduled fairly fast, so having the momentum is great. Each interview only lasted about 30 minutes. from start to finish it took about 1 month
A multi-stage interview process that typically includes screening, technical and/or case assessments, and conversations with different stakeholders to evaluate both your skills and how well you’d work with the team and the role.
