Me postulé a través de un reclutador. Acudí a una entrevista en Meta (Palo Alto, CA) en jun 2018
Entrevista
This is specifically for a product manager role.
1. Recruiter reached out to me over email
2. Had initial talk with recruiter
3. Had two 45 minute video calls - one on Product Design and one on Product Execution
4. Had onsite interview consisting of three 45 minute interviews - one on Product Design, one on Product Execution, and one on Leadership and Drive
5. Recruiter extended an offer a day after the interview once the feedback from all three interviews were submitted
6. Recruiter provided offer details a couple of days later
7. Recruiter set me up for teams
The Facebook interview process was streamlined and fast. The recruiters tell you exactly what each type of interview (Product Design, Product Execution, and Leadership & Drive) entails. It's similar to Google's interview process but it's so much faster, doesn't require a hiring committee, and doesn't have a technical interview from a software engineer.
In my opinion, if you come up with your own structured frameworks for each, have solid product management experience, and you practice the questions beforehand, you'll do well.
From what I understand, you have the option to pre-allocate to a specific team in Facebook or come in as a general product manager. Under the general path, you accept the Facebook offer, go to Bootcamp for a couple of weeks, and then have many weeks to talk to internal teams within Facebook and then decide which one to join. This is unlike Google where you select a team during the interview process.

Lets' say you were in charge of birthdays at Facebook. How would you think about this space and what new features or products would you launch? Pick your favorite feature idea and go deep on it and design it. What would be your success metrics? How would you describe this product in one sentence to users?
The process began with an initial recruiter phone screen focused on my background, product experience, and interest in Meta. This was followed by a series of virtual interviews covering product sense, analytical thinking, execution, and behavioral questions. Interviewers asked me to work through product design scenarios, discuss how I would prioritize competing opportunities, define success metrics, and describe examples of cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
The final round consisted of multiple back-to-back interviews with product managers and cross-functional partners. Overall, the process was structured, professional, and challenging. The interviewers were engaged and provided clear expectations for each interview.
Interview process was fairly straightforward. Recruiters are super helpful in getting you prepared for whats to come. Interviews got scheduled fairly fast, so having the momentum is great. Each interview only lasted about 30 minutes. from start to finish it took about 1 month
A multi-stage interview process that typically includes screening, technical and/or case assessments, and conversations with different stakeholders to evaluate both your skills and how well you’d work with the team and the role.
