Entrevista
The interview process started with a string of phone interviews. The first couple were straighforward background/resume based with HR and the hiring manager. The third phone interview was conducted by the tech lead on the project team and the hiring manager listened in. This was technical-based and asked general physics/engineering questions to test my understanding of different ways forces can be applied and the stress-strain relationship.
Following this I was offered an fly-out for a day long interview. Each slot was panel-based with the exception of a 1:1 HR start, a lunch session with the hiring manager, and a tour of the lab with one of the engineers. Most panels consisted of 2 participants and were either management or engineer-based, focused on personality and background experiences. One panel was technical and dealt with both static and dynamic problem solving skills. This one was very interactive and I found it's path was largely decided by my answers.
Overall I found the process to be quite rigorous (especially the in-person), yet people were friendly and the process seemed fair. The whole process took a while, but they were always very transparent with their timelines to hear back. Based on my interactions during the lab tour I think the environment will be very collaborative and energetic. Employees also harped on a good work-life balance.

Generally friendly but professional conversation. They asked me about my personal and professional history as well. I was an intern at the time, so it was not too challenging. There were two managers for the interview.

First video interview with the manager and then a video interview with a team member. The recruiter reached out about a week later to explain the offer and its details.

Describe and engineering problem and how you went about solving it?
Straight forward, nothing to really stress or worry about. Very nice people and overall felt great leaving the interview. The questions were not as tough as I thought, but come prepared with your own questions.
